If using a nickname as part of your name to appear on the ballot, you are also signing and swearing to the following statements: I further swear that my nickname does not constitute a slogan nor does it indicate a political, economic, social, or religious view or affiliation. I have been commonly known by this nickname for at least three years prior to this election.

, swear that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States and of the State of Texas. I am a citizen of the United States eligible to hold such office under the constitution and laws of this state. I have not been finally convicted of a felony for which I have not been pardoned or had my full rights of citizenship restored by other official action. I have not been determined by a final judgment of a court exercising probate jurisdiction to be totally mentally incapacitated or partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote. I am aware of the nepotism law, Chapter 573, Government Code. I further swear that the foregoing statements included in my application are in all things true and correct.”

Democratic Party Oath of Affiliation

In accordance with Texas Election Code §161.006 – 008; "I swear that I have not voted in a primary election or participated in a convention of another party during this election year. I hereby affiliate myself with the ____DEMOCRATIC____ Party."

FURTHERMORE, In accordance with Texas Election Code §161.005; "I swear that I am a qualified voter in my election precinct and I am not a candidate for nomination or election to, or holder of, an elective office of the federal, state, or county government."

AND, I also understand that according to Texas Election Code §171.023.(c); precinct boundaries may be subject to change prior to the primary election, and this may affect my eligibility to remain in the office for which I am applying.

Note: Applications for place on the primary ballot must be signed and sworn in the presence of a notary public, county clerk, county commissioner, judge, justice of the peace, or other qualified officer.

3: Have it notarized and sworn to. (Remember to bring your photo ID)
4: Deliver to the Bexar County Democratic Party Chair or Secretary.

If you are unable to print the application, a copy of your submitted application will be on file and can be printed at the BCDP headquarters.
